Science Communication - an introduction

The new academic textbook Science Communication - an introduction, is an excellent study guide for both students and professionals in the field of science communication. I'm particularly excited about its release, since it contains a chapter on Science Journalism that Mark Bos and I wrote.

Science Communication - an introduction

It's finally here, the new academic textbook in the World Scientific Series on Science Communication: Science Communication, an introduction. The book is written for both students and professionals, addressing both science communication research and practise.

One of the reasons I'm so excited about its release is that one of the chapters in this book was written by Mark Bos and me. Chapter 6 is about Science Journalism. It covers the different forms of science journalism, the roles that science journalists play in the field of communication about science, news criteria and story construction, the differences between general and science news, the changing media landscape and trends in science journalism. It also dives into the way journalism influences audiences.

The book is available as a hardcover, paperback or Kindle version.
